Wondering where to start?

If this is your first year with us, WELCOME! We’re so excited to turn your entryway into a space that inspires.

Gold Coast Stoops was created for those who love the magic of fall but don’t have the time (or desire) to haul, stack, and style pumpkins themselves. We do the sourcing, designing, and installing — so you can simply step outside and enjoy. We also offer removal and composting!

For Fall Installs, we have four main packages to choose from: Astor, Banks, Cedar, and Dearborn.

From there, you’ll choose your delivery week at checkout.

How can I be sure I’m ordering the perfect package for my space?

The number one thing to consider is the WIDTH of your entry area. Next, take your specific number of steps into account.

To add more volume to any package, you can add on Petite Pumpkins or even a Hay Bale for height.

Are you a fan of DIY? Dearborn is the option for you. We’ll deliver your pumpkins directly to your door, but let you handle the design.

Still have questions? DM us a picture of your stoop on Instagram and we’ll give you a recommendation. If IG isn’t your thing, you can email a photo of your stoop to goldcoaststoops@gmail.com.

How long will my pumpkins last?

Since we wash, scrub, and sanitize all of our pumpkins, they typically last 5-8 weeks. Cooler temps and shaded porches help them last even longer! Every customer also receives a detailed after-care guide with tips for preserving their display.

Did you know that the majority of our pumpkins stay on the vine until just a week before your install? It may be a logistical juggling act, but with Chicago’s unpredictable fall weather, it’s the best way to ensure your pumpkins stay fresh, vibrant, and beautiful all season long.

Do I need to be home during the decorating?

NOPE! No schedule coordinating necessary. Just make sure we have clear instructions for accessing your stoop — there’s an information box at checkout.

What are ‘specialty pumpkins?’

Did you know there are over 150 different pumpkin varieties? Specialty pumpkins are what transform your display from basic to elevated! We hand-select a mix of heirloom, specialty, and designer pumpkins in various colors, shapes, and sizes to create next-level, stunning pumpkin displays that are anything but basic. You won’t find these specialty pumpkins at the grocery store!

Some of our favorite pumpkin varietals to decorate with are Fairytales, Cinderellas, Warty Knuckleheads, and Blue/Gray Jarrahdales, but it can vary based on yields from our pumpkin farmers.

Can you deliver mums or additional Halloween decor?

The only items we stock are pumpkins, hay bales, and more pumpkins. We don’t stock or deliver any mums, but we’re more than happy to decorate with them!

You’re welcome to leave out any mums, scarecrows, or Halloween objects on your porch and we’ll incorporate them into your custom design.

Do you decorate businesses or do corporate installs?

YES! We’re always happy to work on outdoor displays at shops and restaurants, storefront windows, or even indoor corporate installs. Please fill out the contact form or email goldcoaststoops@gmail.com to get a quote.

Can you explain the photo permission thing?

When you book your installation, you’ll have the option to “opt in” or “opt out” of photo sharing permission. Prefer to keep things private? Absolutely. We’ll never post your stoop without your consent.
 Comfortable being featured? We offer a special savings on select packages as our way of showing our thanks and appreciation. No matter what you choose, your home (and your privacy) will always be treated with care with Gold Coast Stoops.

Any photos will always be posted anonymously with no mention of home owner. If applicable, any address information will be blurred.

Another quick FYI for those that opt out of photo sharing permission — We will likely still take a photo of your home when we’re done for proof of the order being complete, but you’ll never see your home on our website or social media.

I placed my order, now what?

First—thank you! We’re so excited to style your stoop. Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive an email from us the week before your scheduled install to coordinate the exact day and any special details (like access instructions, timing preferences, or incorporating your own decor).

On install day, you don’t need to be home. Our process is white-glove and takes about an hour. We’ll send you a note once everything is complete, along with a link to your after-care guide so your pumpkins stay looking fresh for weeks to come.

Do you service Evanston or any suburbs?

At this time, we’re only able to service Chicago neighborhoods and unfortunately don’t have the bandwidth to service the suburbs this season. Hopefully in the future!

Do you decorate for other seasons and holidays?
